We’re are BACK.
… With another 🍄 trip report for your reading enjoyment.
If you’re new here, please learn that I like to eat magic mushrooms sometimes.
Last Friday I had a ceremony with my parents. Right here in the mountains outside of Medellín.
What a bonding experience it was. Few people will ever get to do this and I’m glad I am one of them.
Out of my 30+ times trippin’, it was also my most intense...
I ate 4 grams of Blue Moons, soaked in lemon juice and honey. They were delicious.
2 hours later I was having a Paul Atreides from Dune moment, seeing all possible futures in my awareness at once.
It was overwhelming and terrifying. I felt I would be stuck there forever and never find my way back to sanity.
But I did. (You always do by the way 😉).
It was a complete ego death followed by rebirth and deep gratitude for life.
Why do this to myself? You may ask…
Because sometimes you need a slap in the face to remind yourself how lucky you are.
Let’s philosophize a bit…
If you have a body today it’s because your genes have survived millions of years of hardship.
Your line has survived all extinctions, ice ages, wars, and plagues.
You are resilient & powerful beyond measure and you don’t even realize it.
This potential is hardwired into your genes, lying nascent but available.
Whenever I eat mushrooms, this rises to the top of my mind.
It makes me want to do hard shit and maximize this meat vehicle.
Anything less is a waste. The opportunity is too great.
I hope this lights a fire under your butt. It sure does for me.
Stat strong 💪

Cool things I found during my weekly internet stroll.
Binance co-founder’s concept paper on his new education project, Giggle Academy. I’m all for it. Sounds like a more gamified version of Khan Academy, which SAVED ME in school.
Stability AI’s new Stable Audio 2.0 model is insane. Listen to it here.
Apple might start making robots. Once they start making humanoids, I can take the romantic relationship with my Mac to the next level.

Train yourself to become curious when you get offended. It’s a great way to uncover your blind spots.

When you say “I *get* to work on this” vs. “I *have* to work on this”, you will instantly have more motivation.

Also true for me. If you’ve hired people you know how strong that sense of denial can be. You get stuck “hoping” your hire will become an A-player, but they rarely do.
