here's how to play

When life gets tough, I like to use the video game analogy.
That’s because life is THE most elite video game.
✔️ Lifelike 3D graphics with retina-level pixel density
✔️ Complete and total immersion of all 5-senses
✔️ Ability to level up character and unlock awards, accolades, etc..
✔️ Massive world with infinite quests...
It simply cannot be beat.
Let’s assume for a second your life is a videogame.
Have you ever played a videogame?
The first thing you do is select your desired difficulty.

The key is to pick a difficulty that’s not too hard or too easy.
Too hard and you give up.
Too easy and you get bored.
The game should be a nice balance of struggle mixed with triumph.
Winning should be possible, but ONLY if you’re locked in and giving it your all.
A lot of people forget that life works the same way.
There's only one difference:
In life, you can’t set your difficulty level.
This can be frustrating when you’re stuck on a level you can’t beat.
It becomes toil. No fun. You lose your enthusiasm to play.
How can you make your life easier when you can’t change the difficulty?
You level up your character of course.
You “grind” and complete repetitive tasks to increase your XP.
You go to the gym, eat better, read, etc..
The level doesn’t become easier. You get better.
… Which makes the level easier.
You eventually beat the level and move on to the next challenge.
The reward is a lot of fun and an increasingly capable character who can do increasingly cool shit!
So, do not wish for things to be easy.
That’s not how this game works.
Instead, wish for worthy opponents.
Wish for the opportunity to become better.
This is the greatest gift of all.
Happy gaming 🎮️

Cool things I found during my weekly internet stroll.
Just watched this intro video on Worldcoin. Very interesting solution to a very real verification problem we all face with the rise of AI.
An insider chronicles the downfall of NPR. Great read.
If I went to a Nicki Minaj concert and this didn’t happen, I’d want my money back.

Served up by Spijker & myself.
Changing it up a bit this week! Very diverse track list below:
