4 years ago I bought a course on getting girls with dating apps.

It was late 2020 winter in Toronto. Heavy heavy COVID lockdown.

I was depressed and horny.

Horniness turned into motivation. I implemented the course as prescribed.

Best $297 I’ve ever spent. Within 3 weeks I had a COVID girlfriend.

The relationship was nice. It did not last.

What DID last was my understanding of a concept called Signal-To-Noise Ratio…

Signal/noise ratio is an engineering metric originally used to measure transmission clarity.

The greater the ratio, the clearer the message.

You succeed on dating apps by maximizing your signal/noise ratio.

In other words, stand the fook out.

Common sense, not common practice.

Try swiping through a girl’s Tinder account.

80% of profiles feature a lowly bathroom selfie.

Maximizing your signal/noise ratio isn’t just about getting laid, it’s about getting ATTENTION.

A lot of what you want in this world starts with attention.

This is because other people have what you want.

Other people must be persuaded. Persuasion starts with attention.

It goes: Attention → Interest → Desire → Action

Become a master of attention to get more of what you want.

Btw, you don’t have to be an obnoxious extrovert to do this.

That’s one way. My preferred way starts with being quiet.

Quiet your mind. Establish a daily practice to get present.

This is how you reduce internal “noise” to make room for signal.

Then, observe what others do.

Spot the mainstream communication within arenas of attention.

Example: the lowly bathroom selfie is mainstream communication within the attention arena of dating apps.

TL;DR is mainstream communication within the email inbox attention arena.

Whenever you communicate, audit your message against the mainstream.

Do it often. Make it a habit.

This is how you become a POTENT communicator.

Also, write.

Writing clarifies your ideas and makes them real.

Writing also pulls new ideas out of you.
