new compound

I moved out of my beloved Medellín apartment two days ago. 🥲 

Memories from the past year in this apartment include:

1. Taking literally one million elevator selfies. See collage below:

3. Playing my sax publically for the first time in 7 years and launching a mini-music career:

4. Building a beat lab and launching my friend Sam's DJ career (click for afro-house set).

5. Building a home gym on the roof b/c the Latinas at Smart Fit were too distracting:

7. Installing a massive, AI-generated mural that combines neoclassical elegance with a modern yet romantic flair:

Indeed, good times were had.

Sadly, all good times must come to an end…

UNTIL -

They are replaced with a better time.

Better times must always replace good times. Always.

Better times can be achieved by moving into a larger compound.

This place has everything a 29y/o-bachelor-agency-bro-self-improver needs: pool, hot tub, sauna, ice bath, home gym, basketball court, and of course…

Finally, the most unnecessary (but necessary) feature of the house…

Totally excessive and I love it.

The beautiful thing about moving into a new place is getting a total reset.

Some people don’t like the disruption but I welcome it.

It’s refreshing. It gives you an energy boost. I’m flyin’ right now.

The transition was smooth. It took me about a day to set up my room and assemble the battle station:

Some things I’m excited about with this new living situation:

Food: We’re living with a local family who makes fresh food every day from the backyard garden.

Sunday Fundays: We’re going to host pool parties every Sunday during the day. Day parties for the win b/c you can still get to bed early.

New housemates: They all run different businesses making between $100K-$ 1M/m. We will learn a lot from each other.

Music: Gotta put the two beat labs to use. Also a great excuse to invite over musicians from around Medellín.
